Gora Matku aka VJ Gora is one of the hottest VJ’s performing today. In sold-out clubs and festivals across the country, audiences keep coming back time and again to see what's new in the visual world of VJ Gora.
As a kid, Gora was a huge fan of VJ Morita-San, VJ Nick-Mindscapes and VJ Anyone but his fascination with visual expression really kicked in when Optrix International came on the scene. It was New Zealand’s own, VJ Ben-Optrix who encourged and pushed forward Gora as a new talent.
In early 2001, Gora started performing at small club’s in Auckland, New Zealand, 24000 km from his hometown of Skopje-Macedonia, and found plenty of work in the booming VJ world. In 2006 allready a member of Glowing Flame Records and UK based Pukka Music, Gora moved to Sydney-Australia, where he based himself and became the newest member of UP Records, a new and young label with a bright future. Still hitting the road aplenty, during those years, Gora also used his time in Sydney to learn the difference between producing visuals, and producing high deffinition-high quality visuals. Gora kept his VJ-ing broad enough to work everywhere but unique enough for the demanding Sydney scene. After a few attempts the tightrope paid off when he had his first DVD release on Saiko Sounds in December 2007!
By 2007, Gora had developed into one of the best VJ’s in the country and began nailing down national appearances: Rainbow Serpent 2007, Superfreak Festival 2007, Infected Mushroom Tour 2007, Space Tribe Tour 2007 and ... every psy-trance affictionado dream – Halucinogen + Shpongle with Simon Posford.
And the accolades and opportunities kept coming. Gora was an intricate part of International appearances such as the “Coca-Cola Sound Wave Festival Vol.2” 2006 in his homecountry of Macedonia, sponsored by the President of Macedonia and broadcast on MTV! He has now performed in countries like Germany (Ful Moon Festival), Belgium (Rhakti Dei Festival), Holland (Fairyland Festival), Indonesia (Kuta Festival), UK, Spain, New Caledonia, Hong-Kong, New Zealand and Australia!
All of the energy of VJ Gora’s live performance was captured on the DVD, "FULL MOON 2006." Released in December of 2006 on BNE and available through BNE’s website, http://shop.bne.co.il, the DVD has sold out in less than a year. It is a testament to VJ’s Gora talent that he can sell out theaters and parties across the country! But his fans may not have to wait long to welcome Gora into their homes on a daily basis. Saiko Sounds and UP records have come together to release “Ritual Manuscripts” in december of 2007! Until then, fans can continue to see VJ Gora on Festival’s, parties and DVD’s worldwide!
